This is for people that lay there eggs on there sides at lock down. During hatch do you leave your hatched chicks with the unhatched eggs. I was so paranoid after one would hatch this last time I took them out probably too soon. I just didn't know if them running around in there knocking all the other eggs around would be good.

Do you all just leave them in there?? Will the zipping and pipping eggs be OK if there being knocked around?

Thanks

I always incubate and hatch the eggs on their sides and when the chicks hatch I leave them in there. They do knock the eggs around a bit, but it hasn't caused any problems with my unhatched chicks so far. Once the chicks have dried off I remove them and put them in the brooder, so they don't have too much time to cause chaos in there! I noticed their cheeping and running around seems to encourage the unhatched chicks, so it could actually be a good thing, having them in there...
