Qustion on meaties (Newbie to them)

I see lots of different slower growing meaties advertised is there much differance in them? IE Red roasters, Freedom Rangers, Slow cornish X silver kings?? Do they all grow about the same rate and have the same attributes?

I purchased cornish x and was told they would gain 1 lb of weight for every lb of feed they eat.

I would look at www.motherearthnews.com they had a wonderful article on varities of meat birds and the differences. Hope this helps some.
