r-com 20 incubator

I recently bought one too coming in about 6 days time... But after reading like 20 random posts a day I have notice alot of people going for Brinsea.
So I did a quick eyeball check to see if there was any difference to the equivalent model. I think it is the same (as in same tools like temp and humidty and turner thingo) but this is my first incubator so I wouldnt know.

Unfortunately I cannot remember the site.

I chose this incubator after trying meny times to bid for one on ebay and I really don't need more than like 60 chickens or what not and I wanted the automatic egg turner (even though I been good turning my collected eggs for this). Then I went to some overpriced site that was selling chickens as the new urban thingmobob and I thought to myself; if that model is what they are selling then that model should be good for me

(cos I am pretty dopey) and contacted the company directly, to buy one (cheaper too).

I have two R com 20s and am impatiently awaiting the Rcom 50 I ordered also. Definately like them! I use them to hatch out Call ducks, chickens and occasionally guineas. My hatch rates with all have greatly improved.
I still would recommend all of the regualr incubator precautions though. Get a good thermometer and hygrometer to test them. Set the incubator in a temperature and humidity stable enviroment away from sunlight. Start out with 6-12 cheap eggs for the first trial etc.
Love the ease of incubating and the stability of the temp and humidity. Fairly easy to clean also. Seems to hold up well (year 3 for the pair I own after being run comstantly every year from Late March to July).
Don't like the capacity (really only holds about 18 regular chicken eggs) Which is why I ordered the bigger one also

Don't like the manual that comes with the machine. Just looks cheap and very elementary. Oh well, machine is easy to figure out anyway.
Again I think these incubators are great though and definately don't regret buying them.
