I called last week and she helped me calibrate it as the instrutions are not that clear. I have been sick with the flu so I've not called back but will do so on tuesday to find out if you can turn music off. But I have a feeling you can't or the only way would be to turn the turner off and just do it twice a day by using the test mode. But I really do like it I bought mine off ebay from kemps koops. Then when it came it was shipped from Brinsea and their are not to far from me in titusville fl. So it would have been easier to get one from them she did say that if it didn't calibrate to call her back and they would fix it for me.

NEW TO BATORS.. but we found a sportsman 1502 wth the clear door and extra water bucket on craigslist for $275 (we are hoping the "set it and forget it" works, hehehe).. will let you know how it works as eggs are going in by next FRIDAY :O)
check your local craigslist.org ads.. we found some good buys..

FDnick, that is an awesome price for the Sportsman and you can't go wrong. Having space for one would be the only drawback. Good find!

Did you find out if you can turn the music off?

Is there any way to turn eggs manually with an Octagon if I set some later than others?
