coon got 4 of my silkies last night. I found ones headless body some feathers(black- belonged to my fav. silkie roo elvis) ... my little crossed beak(little gray) and a buff hen... This is my first coon attack ever... my heart is broken. luckily I moved my momma hen and her two babies in my house on monday cause she had them out in the rain and they werer soaked one was stuck in the mud... or I would have lost them too... so tonigfht we are setting a trap and I am sitting up with a gun waiting for the coons return. I am thinking ot was more than one. I have had chickens and ducks for years and this is the first time i lost anything to preditors beside my own dog and snakes. my dogs didnt even bark. I guess i need better dogd. i just may fire them(jk)
