raccoon or what?

ok, night before last I was too tired and left my coops open, in the morning atleast 8 dead chicken bodies, some headless. Last night I closed their coops. something grabbed some chickens that dont perch and pulled half the chicken through the bottom of the fence. tore head off and began eating the animal on top of a chicken nest outside the coop. it also hurt an easter egger ate her comb. First killings in over two years, since I got my chicken netting. Wich is all around the coops. I did hear cats fighting later that morning. But my neighber thinks it's a coon, his chickens were killed by coons. Raccon or what?
