Hi All. I have a great run for my ladies and I feel pretty good about its safety...except. There is a spot about five feet from the ground where we have an opening 2x3ft wide. It is not covered with mesh, but has slats of wood instead. There is about 12 inches between each slat. So, I am wondering if racoons can squeeze through small openings. Should I be woried? Thank you for your help and advise.

I would cover it. There are other predators that can sqeeze through an opening that size and many of them can climb.

I have a hole in my chainlink from a groundhog chewing it.A few links broke.Maybe a 3-4 inch open spot. I put a havahart trap by it and caught the groundhog and over 40 possums and coons. They can fit through small spots.
