I have 3 rain barrels. In the early spring I fed both my garden and my chickens from them. Now, however, it rains seldom, and what is in the rain barrels may be growing algae harmful to my chicks. I now use my rain barrel water for watering flowers, etc. We don't get enough rain to cover the garden and the ladies. BTW we live in north central Texas.
