We got on yellow Rainbow Layer, can someone help explain what that means... Thanks.

Rainbow layers is an assortment Murray McMurray hatchery sells, it is an assortment of breeds that are good egglayers. Wih a full order you'd get picks from different other assortments so variation in egg color is present.

Since your chick is yellow, it could be one of various breeds, since the rainbow layers assortment is very varied.
