Good afternoon, everyione!
I've been through so many coop threads the last couple of weeks, and am leaning heavily toward a pallet coop. I'm pretty good (usually) with a hammer and saw, but I can't quite figure out from the pics and build-to-completion descriptions how the floor is done for a raised coop, using pallets! My original thought was a standard floor, built with 2x4s and floor joists, secured to 2' 4x4s. Trying to figure out how to attach the pallets - probably 4 of them - together and secure them to the 4x4s and have a solid floor - one that I can walk on to clean the coop and gather eggs, and which will hold the walls up! The walls make perfect sense. Any suggestions on how to do the floor?
Oh, and many thanks to everyone who has shared their coop designs - only problem is that I keep changing what I think I want to do, and I need to get the new coop and run built - the babies are a week and a half old, and will outgrow the brooder right quick! But all the ideas in these threads are great!
