(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I’m very new! Ha! I’m still doing some research, but I’m juuuust about ready to take the leap
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Zero. Plenty in my head though
(3) What breeds do you have?
I’m looking at Easter eggers and/or Barred Rock. Both for their friendliness (I have 2 kiddos) and the Easter eggers because my 6 year old diva would LOVE the egg colors
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
There are a few things I find appealing. I love the lessons it will provide for my spawn, I am starting to learn more about homesteading and trying to get away from chemicals/additives in food. Plus, I love animals.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I graduated from nursing school not long ago, so I’ve forgotten what hobbies are, aside from driving my kiddos back and forth. Mostly spending time with family, and pinning all the things
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Well, I’m a nurse. Specifically, I work in an emergency room. I have a 13 year old turd who smells funny and a 6 year old diva. I also have 2 rescue dogs, a rescue husband and a love/desperate need for coffee
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found y’all via Pinterest, about a month ago while I was looking for ways to DIY a space for chicks. I finally joined because, well, I have sooo many questions and the more I research I think the more questions I have
