Oh my, my little angle chicks have now turned into little heathens, I am not sure what is going on! I am starting to think I have too many roosters???

They are just 2 weeks old now, and they are bowing up to each other, pecking hard, chasing each other, Ive never seen such stunts...Leaping into the air, zooming around their brooder...

They kept me up all night, even covered with a blackout cover...

Is this normal?!?! They are 2 week old mix of 2 sultans, 1 silky, 2 RIR or OldGameBird, and 1 Cochin, I think I have a few roosters for sure.

Thank you...for any input...

I have a few BSL which I believe are RIR mixes and they are always doing this. I keep them in the garage so I don't have to hear them all night. My BO do not do this.
However, I must say that they never hurt each other, I think it is normal.

This is a dumb question but what does BSL stand for?

Omg, not dumb at all! It is abbreviated for black sex link.

Thank you! I'm new, but I've been figuring out most of the abbreviations myself but couldn't figure that one out!

Yes, black sex links are crosses between a RIR rooster and a Barred Rock hen. They are intelligent, noisy and WONDERFUL egg layers! I love my BSL hens. They have such personality! Bossy, like RIR's too.
