Raising Chickens again!

I got a bunch of chicks from a new friend in our community. he gave me 8 chicks. Two of the roosters stood our right away, one by on the other chickens turned into roosters, growing big tail feathers. so we have 7 roosters and 1 hen. 5 of the roosters do not crow, they just eat and stutt, so they are headed to the freezer! We will get some more chicks (Hens) in the spring.

I whittled my coop down to just 5 young hens for when I took a 2 week vaca recently. I ended up missing chickens so much, I am hatching chicks, and ordered special birds to arrive soon. Most of the shipped chicks I ordered are specialty roosters because they were cheap. I love roosters. And I want to see what they will send.
