I live in carlyss louisiana and I am just starting out to raise some chickens for eggs. i went to the feed store and bought a starter coop and 6 rhode island red chicks. started the next week building our coop and run, took me about a week to build and paint, it is 6 ft tall 10 feet long and 4 foot wide, the coop is 4 ft wide 4 foot tall and 3 food deep. so i did the math and thought i would have enought room and went and bought 2 more rhode island red chicks, and am loving everyday before and after work comming home to see them growing so fast. just wanted some advice on this heat yesterday the heat index hit 110F and was 102F regular temp. is there anything i need to do to make sure they dont get to hot.. thanks and God Bless you and your chickens
