Raising chickens with turkeys

I have read or heard somewhere that turkeys have a disease that chickens can get. is this true, has anyone ever raised chickens with turkeys and had a bad experiance? im looking to get a few turkeys with my chicken order this year and would like some in put

my chickens & turkeys live in the same barn & they've been doing good. as long as u give them fresh food & water everyday & keep the barn clean, they should be ok. make sure if u get a new bird u de-worm & de-bug her (unless she's a baby)
i know if u get a sick bird u should isolate it so the others won't get it

we have two royal palm turkeys - one of which was hatched by a chicken we have had no problems with ours - in fact I think it is nice to have them together....

we ALWAYS house our poults and chicks together

or turkeys and chickens XD
