Raising Colored Range Broilers with other breeds?

I'm trying to get my order of Colored Range Broilers from JM Hatchery up to 100 chicks so the price will drop to just $1 a chick. I only want 25-30, and have extended the offer to other folks in my local chicken club. Some want to know if they could raise just a few CRB chicks along with other layer chicks. What do you think?

That's what I plan on doing...don't see why you can't. After all, they're known to be excellent free rangers, they don't have excessive amounts of waste, and you don't keep them long enough for the roosters to become a problem.

I don't have colored range broilers, but my comet boys I got for meat are right there in the same pen with my growing out girls (and 1 EE roo). No problems so far.
