Anyway, Huntmaster and R2elk contributed experience with Porter's birds (I was specifically asking about ordering from Porter's). They provided a lot of good info on their personal experiences with size and conformation of different varieties in addition to temperaments.
Note just to clarify: I do not have any affiliation with Porter's except ordering poults that will arrive in June. Oh, I also spend too much time on his site learning about color genetics
. I don't believe anybody indicated Porter's was the only place to purchase quality turkey poults. In the past I've ordered Narragansett from Cackle Hatchery and couldn't have been more pleased.
