Raising Rabbits in an old Chicken Coop

Hi,

This fall we decided to cull our old flock and let the coop rest for the winter. We'll start with some fresh layer hens in the spring. Now that I have this cleaned out coop I'm thinking the rabbits could use it. Does anyone know if the sames fleas and mites that thrive on poultry also thrive on rabbits? Our coop wasn't infested or anything, however I did notice some small black bugs in the spring. Thanks

I did the opposite. Chickens raised in a rabbit hutch. I haven't experienced any problem and I have had it for about 3 years. If you clean it enough, you'll be fine. Good luck!
