I have a roost about 3 feet off the ground but my Muscovies won’t use it. They were roosting at previous home with previous owner on even higher roosts (6+ feet) but I’ve had to clip a wing on each of them to keep them home. I don’t think they can get enough lift (especially my Drake) to get up to the roost. They act like they want to. Would they use a ramp? What angle can it be at? How wide does it need to be?
Roost is in back left of photo (it’s a 2x4 turned with wide side up)
Lower your roost, a clipped muscovy can't get up 3 feet. I highly doubt they would use a ramp. Put a roost at a foot, and maybe one at 2 feet. You don't want injuries from you ducks hoping down without functioning wings.
