Sorry! Sorry! Ooops!

It's been awhile since I made it... but I remember how lovely it was and I'm so tired of store bought ranch lately... After I make it, I will post back with any thoughts on changing amounts or things I don't recall.. but heres how I used to do it...

Yep.. I get 2 packets of Hidden Valley Ranch mix (1 if only a small batch, but it's nice to have an extra if you need some more flavor in it).

Mayonaise.

Buttermilk. I halve my buttermilk with whole milk.. too much buttermilk doesen't taste right to me.

1 Small Onion.

1 large bunch of Parsley.

And the secret ingredient! Carrots! Lots of Carrots.

I mince the onion super fine.

Chop up the parsely small as well.

And the carrot... lots and lots of carrot makes it taste heavenly. I chop or shred it into tiny peices as well... and I used to use my blender to puree some of it.
I don't know about this batch, I'm going to work with the tools available, LOL.

Buttermilk... 1/2 pint. Then I add a 1/2 pint of whole milk.

2 - 4 cups of Mayonaise. (I'll post back on that detail).

All of the onion and carrot... on the parsley I like my ranch looking green.. you can add the amount you like.

Blend really, really well. It takes some time to get the lumps of mayo blended in.

Like I said.. I'll be back here after I make it and we'll see what I remembered correctly!

Ive tried every bottle of ranch dressing on the shelves, and have landed on Kens Buttermilk Ranch...it is the BEST!!!!

OK! Heres The VERDICT!

IT WAS AMAZING!!

You Have To Try It Yourself!!

It is a little chunky... but tastes soooo yummy.. I kind of liked trying to scoop up peices of carrot... it was sooo good

I'm never buying another bottle now that I remember how good this is! It did not take very long to make... and was really easy!

Confirmed version of the Recipe:

- Equal parts Mayonaise & Halved Buttermilk (with whole).

- Hidden Valley Ranch Mix Packet.

- Carrot.

- Onion.

- Fresh Parsley.

- Fresh Chives (optional).

- Freshly ground Peppercorns (optional).

First, I minced up the Onion as fine as I am capable of. Then the Carrot, a bag of pre-shredded salad Carrot

, I arranged the shreds in bunches, and chopped it into tiny little squares. The Parsley and Chives I chopped up very finely as well. It is important to only use fresh herbs!

In a large bowl, combine Mayonaise, Buttermilk, and whole milk. Equal parts is all that matters on amounts. I used 1 pint of Buttermilk, 1 pint of Whole Milk, and 2 pints of Mayonaise (4 cups! TY imp). I smushed the Mayo with a large flat spoon, into just the Buttermilk, before thinning with the Whole Milk. It smoothed out nicely, and had a good consistency. Remember, after a day in the fridge it will thicken further from the Ranch Mix.

I then added my Ranch Mix Packets... I used 2. Blended together. I used a handheld beater... you can get by with a spoon!

I then added the finely minced Onion, Carrot, Parsley, and Chives, and blended well. The consistency of the Ranch is enough to hold the solid ingredients aloft where they are. If the solid peices fall to the bottom, you need to blend in more Mayonaise.

Poured into my handy re-usable pour-spout bottles (you can find in the market!)... and waaa laaa! Beautiful Ranch Dressing! All Done!

I got two pour-spout bottles from these amounts. It would probably take a normal person about a half hour to make. Mixing it together is the fastest part.

It turned out absolutely perfect!
