Ranch transplants from Montana to Oregon

My wife and I sold our Eastern Montana ranch in 2012 and moved to Oregon. We both are from very agrarian backgrounds and love living the self sufficient lifestyle. Our ranch was 40 miles from the nearest grocery store so we understood a well-stocked pantry. My wife taught school at a small 2-room schoolhouse 8 miles from the ranch. I ran 120 head of black angus cattle. Summer months were busy with hay making and other ranch activities. We almost always had chickens as I love fresh eggs.
