I have a few questions that hopefully someone can answer.

1. What can I do to get rid of or cut back on the flies in my turkey pin and coop, without harming the turkeys? When it rains it especially makes it worse.

2. I have noticed ants trying to eat the starter grow for my poults, How can I solve this problem? The feed is in a chick feeder in the coop.

3. Probably not a solution to this question but I'm gonna ask anyway...How can I keep the odor down from my pin? It's not bad until it rains then it's AWFUL!!!

1. hang fly paper up? i use this in my chick and poult pens, hang it near the ceiling well away from the poults so they cant get stuck to it though!


2. i also had an ant problem. i solved this by buying a feeder with a handle at the top, then screwing one of those fancy metal hanging basket hook things in the wall..and hanging the feeder a few centimeters of the ground, poults can still pick at the food but ants got jump so cant get onto the feeder



3. im guessing the floor is getting wet, or ground water is seeping up after it rains and perhaps if theres spilt feed on the floor and this is getting wet it will cause the stink (i find wet feed stinks!) maybe a little clean out daily is needed to keep the floor feed free. i find i have to clean my poults out daily to keep the smell down, they knock food over and splash in their water and with the added heat from the lamp it just stinks!
