Randomness on calcium chloride (ice melt) IBCS

So I may be able to get some IBCs (intermediate bulk containers) for free from work in a few months. I figured I could put them to use in the yard for my chickens as some type of structure. The IBCs will contain Calcium Chloride (ice melt). After Googling how to neutralize the Calcium Chloride (50/50 water and vinegar mix)...I kept scrolling through the results and reading more about this chemical. Did anyone know that they use the stuff to non-surgically sterilize dogs? Not so fun fact of the day I guess. Anyone had this procedure done to their dog? Here's the link to what I read
