I’m getting ready to downsize my Ohiki and American longtail flock. I plan on traveling to Kentucky in April to meet up with some other Ohiki Breeders, and we have tossed around the idea of collectively bringing what birds we each have available and then letting folks know the date and time they can come to “shop” or pickup birds already purchased from any one of us. This might be better than trying to ship birds, given the stories I’m hearing about USPS shipments these days. I’m interested in hearing others’ thoughts on this.

Also, if you are in the market for Ohiki or longtails, in general, please feel free to message me to learn what I may have available.

Pic is one of the birds
available for sale.

That is quite a ways away! I wouldn’t mind visiting that far north one of these fine days — I have distant relatives on my father’s side from Vermont.
This year is a bit of a challenge where birds are concerned, as I’ve dumped Facebook — so I am not sure yet how I’m going to connect with others who are interested in longtails. I was admin in one Ohiki group and moderator in the other. Doesn’t seem to be much interest on this site — at least not yet. I’m also working on figuring out how this platform is organized. Seems like “threads” are “groups” ?
