The Egg-Master N1
In the Brooder
I am primarily interested in chicks, although I would definitely purchase a set of breeders if giving the chance. I’m not set up to deal with hatching eggs yet.
On another note I agree whole heartedly with what ColtHandorf had to say. No one is trying to bash your birds or your work, but what they are trying to tell you is that
1: when you cross different bird breeds the result is not a pure blood line, it is a hybrid or a mutt. Just like with dogs or any other animal, if you cross them with enough different breeds of the same specie you may end up with an animal you like but the offspring will not breed true because of the mixed genes (again not a problem with that unless you are looking for a pure breed).
2: if you run into someone like myself who is just starting out and is serious about finding pure blooded birds and they pay the price and start breeding and hatching the chicks. That person will soon discover that they have been misled intentionally; or otherwise, that will not matter to them. Not only will they be ticked off and discouraged, they will be angry at the person who they believe has wronged them. So you will be forced to exchange the birds, or refund the purchase and will not only be very discouraged yourself but will have created a potential enemy who could smear your reputation as a dependable breeder. In the event that you refuse to refund or exchange you will wish that you had what with the media outlets that are available to everyone. Then it will not be a potential enemy, but a wrathful adversary who will do their level best to destroy your company name and reputation. And if you are really unfortunate you will be dealing with multiple cases of angry customers.....Kiss good-by to any hope of ever becoming breeder in that area again.
Ok, I’m being a little dramatic; but seriously this is one of many possible scenarios that could come of false advertising(unintentional or intentional). Hopefully I didn’t step on any toes! They are very pretty birds and you should be proud of them, just be carful how you present them.
