Well, if you're talking about show quality, no, he's typical hatchery stock, but the thing about BRs, they don't have to be show quality to be very handsome! How's his personality? To me, that counts big time.

He's pretty young, but I haven't had any problems with him so far. Hopefully I won't, I'm scared of big roosters that try to be mean

When I was in their house taking the pics, he was pretty much crowing the entire time, but other than that he was okay.

You know, you can sometimes get better offspring than the parent stock. Take this guy for example, reposted from old pics by FrontPorchIndiana. He was hatched from my hatchery roo, Hawkeye, and a hen who was a generation or two removed from hatchery stock. See the sharp barring on this one? He may not be quite show quality, but he's an example of what you can breed up to, if you work at it.
