Rats!!!

I need to know the best bait for large brown rats.. I managed to kill a young rat on the snap trap by using cheese but it took a few days to catch and I am looking for a bait that's better for snap traps and rat live trap...

These rats I have like eating eat, cause there ate some of my 3 month old chicks and ate half of the chicks!!

What's a good bait for brown rats?

The only way I've found to get rid of them is to put a bunch of rat poison down in their tunnels/holes and cover them over with dirt.

Poison down the hole, then proof your coop or it will never end.
