I am disabled so I don't grow a lot of things beyond a few greens and veggies for my husband and I. My question is
can I feed my hens raw quinoa-or should I cook it? And should I wash it before doing either?

Can I feed them raw sunflower hearts?
Can I feed 5 grain organic cereal?
can I feed them oats?

Do I need to soak all or any of the above in raw milk (heated?) overnight?
Thanks much
Chris

Yes! I don't think you have to wash it! I wouldn't! They should love all the stuff you mentioned!

Thanks. The reason I mention washing quinoa is because I've read the seeds are covered in saponin and hens find it bitter tasting. Anyone know anything about it? TIA

I did not know that! I guess I don't use it much!! The times I served it to my family I did wash it! :idunno
