We have a semi-wild drake Mallard (Joe), just under 18 months old that recently has gotten extremely aggressive towards one of our male Pekins. I have tried for two weeks now to break this problem but have been unsuccessful. We raised Joe from a duckling and love him, but the male Pekin (Buddy) has seniority at our house so Joe needs a good home. We love him and want him to go somewhere where he will be cared for like we care for him. He does not act aggressive towards any other ducks, just Buddy. He's a good duck and almost no trouble. We live on a lake and once he was old enough to fly he went off on his own, but comes back daily to visit the yard and get treats and snacks. He sleeps outside on his own as well. That is why I say he is "semi-wild."

Just an update. We kept the two separated for another week or so and Joe finally lost interest in fighting with Buddy and found him a new wild female. Everyone seems to be getting along again. So it's a happy ending I wanted to share.
