Last nite when I went to tuck the girls in I was so pleased to see them roosting on the ladder I provided.
The ladder is the last of 2 remaining old, wooden window cleaning ladders that belonged to my dad. He believed in re-using everything until no uses were left.
I lost my dad 5 years ago, but I know he's smiling at the idea of one more use for his old ladders before they go on the brush pile! In fact, my entire coop was built last fall with left over material he had saved for SOMETHING!
My girls are 6 wks old, doing fine and growing fast. My first experience in raising chickens and having a ball!
