I had 4 Mallard ducklings. They are now 19 1/2 weeks old. One flew away a few days ago and we are fine with that. Good luck Delta!
I have one female and 2 males left. The bigger male and the female have bonded and I’ve caught them attempting to mate numerous times. The large male chases the smaller male around the yard all the time and kicks him out of the swimming pool, the fresh water trough, and definitely away from my female.
I want all three of them to fly off to the nearby pond so they can make friends and migrate south this Fall. I’m tempted to bring my smaller male over to the pond this weekend and release him so he can start his new journey and get away from the larger male duck.
Any tips or advice?
