Really basic question

What the heck is a tractor? I've seen it mentioned plenty of times and even seen a picture of one someone had for sale but just done quite understand what one is.

Just a moving chicken coop.
I think the reason on tractor is that they normally have wheels and the chickens can then clean underneath like a tractor?

A chicken tractor is a movable chicken run. You move it wherever you want the chickens to weed/cultivate. When they finish that patch, then just move the tractor to another location. It should be lightweight enough to move fairly easily.

A bottomless portable coop. The bottomless part is important because they have to be able to get at the grass to scratch and forage.
