Are chicks noisier when they are hatched and raised by a hen?
We bought a naked neck hen and her chick at a bird auction and the chick literally doesn’t shut up :barnie it’s driving me insane!! The only time it quietens down a bit is when the hen sits on it but the hen only sits on it if I’m not in the room.

Can hen & chick go outside assuming the hen will keep the chick warm enough? As I’m missing all my soaps as I can’t hear the tv :hit

How long have you had them? Are you doing quarantine house? If you have other chickens she needs to be in quarantine and trying to integrate with a chick she’s brooding might be a lot of stress for her. Can you move them to another area of the house so you can’t hear them and it’s less active for her to be less stressed? Sounds like the hen is stressed when your in the room which in turn is stressing the chick.

Had them 2 weeks now, I’ve got a double coop/run where they both join at one end of the run (coop up each end) one run is where we put any new chickens (after quarantine) so our flock can see them up close but not get to each other. We’ve not got a quarantine coop in the garden as of yet as we’ve only ever bought chicks and they are kept indoors in brooders.

I don’t think I’m stressing the hen as such, as she’s not bothered by the kids being in the same room, I think she sees me and automatically thinks I’m bringing a treat/food every time

Might something be wrong with her? In my experience, a chicks voice who is heard unusually loud above the rest is crying out for help.
