It seems that alot of my eggs in the incubator are going right to the last stage, but they can't break through the membrane. I was told that there is nothing to do about thick membranes. Is there any one that has any ideas of why my eggs would have thick membranes? Anything i could do to change it ?

To just guess I'd think it might have something to do with nutrition. I can't even begin to guess what the hens are eating too much of or not enough of to cause this though.

no its thick membranes... the hens eat 17% laying mash.. thats about it rather than some grass every now and then

Thick membranes with alot of albumen that the chicks cannot seem to break through is usually caused my high humidity during incubation.
