Morning all-
I had to sell off my little flock this winter, I was sick with pregnancy and jusssst couldnt make it with the chickens. Now that baby is here and we're settled I ordered chicks and am ready to start over. I had a bout with mites, lost a perfect cochin roo to them, and want to be sure to avoid a repeat of that.
I am getting feather footed birds again, and am looking for your ideas on how to avoid such parasites. Any tricks of the trade- I know the obvious things ;P
We're also moving and so I get to build a new coop, so any tips in housing that might reduce run ins with mites would be helpful!
Thanks guys!
