:weeHey everyone! Please help us! We are looking for the best incubator for our needs including that they are small birds--- Seramas in our case. We recently enlarged our Serama flock and have many more eggs than our current incubator can handle.

We love<3 our current incubator-- it is the Brinsea Mini II Advance. We can fit only about 10 Serama comfortably to have proper rotation and accommodate our hygrometer/thermometer.🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚

We are looking for something that can accommodate approximately 40 or more small Serama eggs. [Probably More, you know how it goes!]

We would like to have all the bells and whistles [Humidity, circulated air, automated turner, are the most important obviously]--which we do know the Brinsea Maxi would do, however, obviously, Brinsea products carry a hefty price tag.

For those of you who hatch either quail or other small eggs like Seramas, what is your favorite incubator that you have good experience with? Is there an incubator that you've been secretly hoping Santa will eventually bring you one day that's your dream incubator?

Any and all suggestions are welcome. We went from a trio of Seramas and a few hatchlings to taking over someone's entire flock.

Thank you very much for your help, any at all is welcome!

Brinsea Ovation has given me extraordinary hatches with most of my shipped Serama eggs (I don’t do my huge saddleback eggs if I’m wanting to put them in egg cartons to gently adjust them myself, because opening the lid will change the humidity and the Brinsea will automatically pull in more water to adjust the humidity itself and can cause the humidity to get too high). I don’t like having to unscrew the lid in several places to give it a good clean, though. It’s two clear pieces of plastic. I’m worried I will strip it. I love my Hovabator, too! Harris Farms Nurture Right 360 might also be another excellent option. I think humidity being automatically controlled is the big win for the Brinsea if you’re not opening the lid and have it automatically turning). I would definitely go with the Hovabator Advanced for a cheaper option. It shows the temperature and humidity. You do have to open the lid to fill the reservoir with water on the Hovabator. With the Nurture Right, you can fill the water from the outside. If you’re hatching your own eggs, I definitely would say to use the Hovabator for a more affordable option. I’ve never had problems of hatching my own Serama eggs being any harder than regular chicken eggs.
