recovering from sickness

All my chickens are on Tylan Soluable for upper respitory problems. There has been a decline in egg production since they all got sick about 2 weeks ago. My older chickens seem to be a lot better, although the egg production has not gone up (which in a way I'm glad, b/c I don't want to throw eggs away while on Tylan) but I would like to know how long does it usually take to get them all back to normal and laying. Thanks.

I think, that they say only give the Tylan for 10 days. And then wait two weeks after their last dose of meds before you can eat the eggs again......I had my flock on Duramayacin for the same thing as yours had, and right now we've gotta wait another week before we can use the eggs again.....Oh, it just makes me sick to throw the eggs away. They're laying like troopers now!

I'd say after about a week, things should be picking up for you.....
