I have lived on my place since 1984 and never seen a fox. This morning I let my Buffs and Delawares out to range at the usual time, 7:00am. I went inside the house to fix breakfast and looked out my kitchen window to see feathers everywhere. I grabbed my shotgun, went outside and a Buff was dead, almost eaten, a Delaware was walking around wounded. Lifted my shotgun and fired and missed as the Red Fox jumped a five foot chicken wire fence. I'm a good shot but that fox was so fast I never had a chance. I've lost a few chickens now and then and never saw what got them. It can happen so fast and not much you can do about it.
