Best practices are to keep them separated. On the other hand I have seen over 50 ringneck males cohabitating in a 100 ft flight pen. Space is the biggest factor. Also, if young males reach 3 months and are raised together they tend to tolerate the other males however they should always be separated well before spring begins. I don't have any experience with cross breeds of pheasants so I cant speak of temperment in general. Hope this helps.
