Thanks everyone. I think this is a good lesson for me. You can't always tell by their combs. Well at least not with this breed. we think she is a RIR. We have another 2 month I think before she starts to lay. I will for sure let you know. But her tail feathers look like the rest of the hens.

She looks exactly like our RIR hen. I can't believe what awesome layers they are. Ours has been laying for 2 months straight and has missed only one day! She lays an egg every 24 hours. Crazy thing! And extremely friendly!
