My DH was in Lowe's today looking for netting to put over the top of our run. We had an owl walk into the coop last Wed. night and kill a pullet. The "outside" lady at Lowe's said she's had chickens for the last 20 years. She hasn't had a predator of any kind since she put a clock radio with RED numbers by her coops. She leaves it on a talk radio station so there's always sound.
I had been thinking about getting one of those niteguard blinking lights that simulate eyes. But hey, a clock radio with red LEDs should do the same thing!
Any opinions?
