So for xmas I spent $70 and got my DH a red spot light that attaches to the top of the rifle scope. It's okay...but he's color-blind and thinks it should be brighter.

So then I spent another $30 last week and bought what I thought was a nice red spot light. It's 3.5 million candles or something...but it only plugs into the car (no home/wall charger!) It's not like we're going to run out to the truck or car, turn it out and then try to spotlight coyotes and shoot from the car??? LOL

Any recommendations for a GOOD, bright red spotlight that's affordable and rechargeable with a wall unit?

I got my last one at Walmart.....it's a Q-Beam, 2,000,000 CP, came with two batteries, a red snap-on lens, a wall charger and a car charger.

I love it. Only problem is, it won't hold a charge but about 20 minutes when in constant use. It will last about a week though of just shining the yard and fields two or three times a night. I bought a varmint hunting light to snap on top of my scope as well, and I like it, it just makes the rifle a little bulkier. And as I usually use it on the rifle I keep above the front door, I have to be careful getting it down what with the attached battery pack and all. It too has a snap on red lens so you can use it with or without it. I also have a "wheat light", like most coon hunters use. It has a big battery that you wear on your belt, and will last about 14 hours on a full charge. Got a red lens for it as well. I believe in the red lenses for predators at night.
