So.... i clean my coop out regularly and have already got rid of mites with mite powder etc but they seem to be back again. In a couple of weeks im moving my pullets into a new coop but also intergrating my 9 week old chicks and need them gone before they doing any harm any ideas?

Treating both the birds and their housing with a Permethrin based poultry spray or dust in 7 day intervals can help break the lifecycle of mites and lice.

I agree with you, I would want the bugs gone before they go into a new coop!

I agree. Most insecticides do not kill the pest eggs so weekly treatments for 3 or 4 weeks is necessary. I also put the poultry dust in the nest boxes. With permethrin there is no egg withdrawal period. You can get it at TSC. Good luck...

Spray everywhere, every crack and crevice. I use the concentrate with a gallon sprayer. I like the wand because it makes it easier to get into the hard to reach places. Again, good luck...
