Luckily I planned on giving them away to neighbors anyways because I hate to dress a chicken, but I started to really like my 2 male Red Ranger Cockerels. They developed quite nice personalities and are very active. They don't even finish their morning Rations before they set out to forage. They even do a few sprints every morning and spar off with each other from time to time. It was easy to kill Cornish X because they did not seem happy at all but my Red Rangers are easy to get attached to. They aren't even total jerks like some the egg breed cockerels turn into. They are 10 weeks old and plenty heavy, and I am giving them away between now and week 12. The Females joined a laying flock and will be crossed with Delaware and Dorkings. Thats whole reason why I got them, to breed with Heritage breeds that have decent meat qualities.

If you feel so bad, then you have a few options.
1. Don't kill them. This will come with it's own set of problems such as
-If they begin fighting
-Any rooster prohibiting laws in your state/area
-You also will have to tell the people that you are giving them away too that you have become to attached to them

2.Kill them. It will be hard if you quite like them, but just tell yourself that they lived better lives than most meat chickens, and this was why you originally got them. It will be hard, but you can't blame yourself.

3. Keep the one that you like the most. It may be hard to decide between the two, but you could consider keeping one as a pet. Or as a breeder?

I hope this helps, and no matter what you decide people here on BYC will understand and back you up :hugs.
