Red-sex link?

I bought 5 hens ready to lay from a guy, I thought they were some sort of sex-link, production red, but this one is different, is it anything?

Yeah, that's what my red sex links look like. Some more red than others, one is almost white and getting red comb and wattles! What's that about? I keep expecting a crow.

Motherhen, sorry to tell you your mostly white one is probably a roo. That is supposedly why sex links are so easy to tell apart. Females are mostly red or gold and males mostly white.
 
Yep the one pictured is a golden sex link as they are called here :p. The red comb starting at 4-5 months or so is a female maturing and a good sign you'll get eggs soon. A red comb starting at 1-2 months... now that is a rooster...
