Red sex links and confinement

How do Wyandottes and red sex links (especially the red sex link) do when confined to a fairly small pen area? The area is outside and approximately 12x17 or a little bit larger than that. It's not a perfect square or rectangle. I have a large backyard but they can't roam free (unfortunately).

It looks to me like you have 5 birds. In a 12 x 17 space? Sounds great to me.

Unless that is 12 inches X17 inches [which obviously would not be okay].... you are fine with only 5 birds in 12feet X17 feet . I have 11 birds in and 10X12 space it is almost 6 feet tall so they have an "upstairs" coop with nest boxes... So almost double the 10X12 . The neighbors behind me like to keep dozens of feral cats, so they can't be free range.
