I have two....you can get them turtle food at any petstore, they even carry food for them at WalMart...they also like a variety of foods and will pretty much eat anything....I have heard that they like chicken...you can boil some chicken and tear it in small pieces....what size tank do you have? They grow really quick!!!! I got mine in August and they have more than doubled their size since then!!!! Mine right now are in a 20 gallon tank....make sure you have a nice filter cause they are nasty animals...its best to not feed them where they live...they make a mess of their water. Oh and they are really good about begging for food!!!!! They will also eat until their stomach explodes
