Red spider mites

I have red spider mites on my tomatoes. Can my chickens eat these or should I keep them away?

I have red spider mites on my tomatoes. Can my chickens eat these or should I keep them away?

I'm not sure. We get those here, too and I googled to check and red mites can infest coops but I could not easily discern if red spider mites are the same. I wouldn't think so as poultry mites feed on blood where as red spider mites eat plants.

When in doubt, don't do it. Spray the maters with warm water with dish soap added in, lemon if you can get it.
