Red spots

Can someone explain what red spots are and what is an acceptable rate of occurrence in point of lay chickens? Does the rate of occurrence drop as they get older?

Red spots inside the egg? They happen once in a while to many chickens. They will fade to invisible if small and the egg is stored a while. They are perfectly edible. They're usually called meat spots, just a bit of tissue from mama.
