Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! I like the look but don't touch method of getting new chickens into the flock. Have them so they can see each other but not rich so they can get acquainted but not cause any injury to each other. After a few weeks you can add them together but supervise so you can intervene if it gets too rough. Extra feed and water stations are also a good idea so no one is bullied out. Here is a lovely article on this method ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/introducing-new-chickens-using-the-see-but-don-t-touch-method

As for run floor I moved mine into a slab area for easy cleaning. I did have them on grass and dirt but they soon wrecked it and made a real mud bath. I also have some on gravel that has worked well. I rake the gravel through with the hose pips in to clean it up. Wood chip can also be good if you can get a good base and drainage under it.

Wishing you the very best of luck and enjoy BYC :frow

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. X2 on Yorkshire coop; your two flocks need to be introduced to each other using the "look but don't touch" method. There is another good article on how to do it at https://poultrykeeper.com/general-chickens/introducing-new-chickens/. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in introducing the two flocks to each other.
